Chrisitine Xu


Christine Xu is an environmental and sustainability professional with over eight years of experience working with environmental research and advocacy groups in Washington, D.C. She was deeply involved at the Pew Charitable Trusts in developing and using geospatial technology to track fishing vessels to detect suspicious and potentially illegal behavior. Her contributions to designing, implementing and managing a multi-disciplinary project led to the publication of an innovative report on transshipment trends in the Western and Central Pacific Ocean. Besides sustainability, she is also passionate about education. In her free time, Christine teaches English to children in China virtually. Originally from Tianjin, China, Christine grew up in California and now resides in Spain. Christine holds bachelor’s degrees from the University of California, San Diego and a master’s degree in international sustainable development and corporate responsibility from EOI Business School in Madrid.
